Terms of Service

These terms apply to the use of WP Monitor, with or without an account. By using the service you accept them.
The provider
WP Monitor is provided by WEBDEV SRL, Bucharest, Romania, VAT code RO14810481, trade registry number J40/7484/2002. Contact: [email protected].
The service
WP Monitor checks websites from the outside, the way a visitor or a search engine sees them: WordPress, plugin and theme versions, signs of malware and spam, blocklists, defacement, speed and caching, and common security settings. With an account you can monitor sites, receive alerts and, depending on your plan, use the other features listed on the plans page.
A scan can only see what is public. It cannot prove that a site is clean or safe, and it can occasionally report a problem that is not one. Reports and fix guides are information to help you, not a guarantee and not a replacement for a security audit.
We work to keep the service available and correct, but we do not promise it will be free of interruptions or errors. We may improve and change the checks and features over time.
Your account
You need a valid email address to create an account. Keep your password and login links to yourself; you are responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has access to it.
You can delete your account at any time from your profile page. Deleting it also ends any subscription.
Acceptable use
Use WP Monitor for sites you own or manage, or that you have a legitimate reason to check. You must not:
- use the service to attack, overload or probe sites or networks, or to get around its daily limits (for example with many accounts or automated requests);
- try to break into, disrupt or reverse engineer the service, or access data that is not yours;
- use reports to mislead or harm others, for example by publishing false claims about someone's site.
We may limit, suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and block scans that look like abuse. You can report abuse at [email protected] or through the contact form.
Plans, prices and payment
The Free plan costs nothing. Paid plans are monthly subscriptions at the price shown on the plans page when you order. Prices are in euro without VAT; customers in Romania pay in lei with VAT included. VAT is added where the law requires it; companies with a valid VAT ID in another EU country are invoiced without VAT (reverse charge).
A subscription renews every month and is paid in advance, until you cancel it. We will tell you by email at least 30 days before a price change takes effect; you can cancel before then.
Cancellation
You can cancel a subscription at any time, without giving a reason, on your profile page ("Cancel subscription"). No further payments are taken. You keep the paid features until the end of the period you already paid for, then your account moves to the Free plan. Paid periods are not refunded, except where the law requires it.
Right of withdrawal (consumers)
If you are a consumer in the EU, you may withdraw from a new subscription within 14 days of ordering, without giving a reason, by writing to [email protected]. We refund your payment within 14 days of receiving your request, using the same payment method.
If you asked us to start the service during those 14 days, we may keep an amount in proportion to the part of the service already provided until you withdrew.
Your data and backups
We process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. Where a plan includes backups of your site, you remain the owner of that content and are responsible for being allowed to store it with us. Backups are an extra copy: keep your own copy of anything important.
Liability
We are fully liable for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise, our liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical of this kind of contract, and in total to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the damage occurred. We are not liable for problems on your website that a scan did not detect.
Nothing in these terms limits the rights consumers have under the mandatory law of the country where they live.
Trademarks
WordPress is a registered trademark of the WordPress Foundation. WP Monitor is an independent service of WEBDEV SRL and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by the WordPress Foundation or Automattic. Other product names mentioned (plugins, themes, hosting and security services) belong to their owners and are used only to describe what a scan found.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. We will tell account holders about important changes by email at least 30 days before they apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel and delete your account before then.
Applicable law and disputes
These terms are governed by Romanian law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live. Disputes with businesses go to the competent courts in Bucharest.
